I can sympathize with you on this one, I believe that alot of games are 3D for no good reason other than to bait shallow gamers with just eye candy.
Oh yeah, hearing the Wily stage music from megaman2 reminds me to mention that megaman X series went the exact route that your video showed and ended up just plain sucking.

room for improvement

the drawings and animation were decent but i'd suggest putting more detail on the ground so that you can make it move so that the ship doesnt look like its just hovering there. Other than that if you manage to get some music and sound then I think it'll be pretty good.

The intro and sound was good but the sprite animation and story could use some work.

All flash, some substance

The flash was clean and good looking so i'd give my kudos to you on that part. But the idea was a bit unoriginal and frankly has been done to death. Bring up your stories to the level of your animations and you'll be set.
